Dry Skin?

The dry winter air can make skin feel uncomfortable. Try these tips at home to soothe and hydrate winter skin.

A few times a week, after bathing, apply a body oil and then a body moisturizer on top. Body oils are deeply therapeutic. Body moisturizers replenish the skin and create a protective barrier to reduce water loss. Together they soothe, nourish, and protect the skin.

For instant relief try the Dr. Hauschka Almond St. John’swort Body Oil which soothes persistently dry skin. Follow it with the ultra-rich Almond Body Moisturizer for a deeply hydrating therapy. The Dr. Hauschka Rose Body Oil followed by the Rose Body Moisturizer is also a delightful treat. Rose is soothing and strengthening to the skin while the scent is calming and balancing to the mind.

For the face, use the Dr. Hauschka Nourishing Masks to deeply hydrate. Use them a few times a week or in small amounts under a moisturizer in the morning. They absorb easily and give the moisturizer an added boost. There are four to choose from; the Rejuvenating Mask,  the Soothing Mask, the Moisturizing Mask and the Firming Mask.

Make sure to use the right seasonal moisturizer. Many clients switch to a different moisturizer in the winter to soothe, hydrate and protect.

Of course, drink plenty of water. Running a humidifier in house can also be helpful.
