Becoming a Mesa Carrier
An Intensive Initiation into the Andean Medicine Wheel and the Munay Ki Rites.
In the Andean tradition, the mesa is a portable alter holding personal power objects that afford a microcosm of the universe for healing and ritual. Becoming a mesa carrier is a sacred initiation process of indigenous alchemy that sets you on an ancient pathway of accelerated growth and healing through the four directions of the Andean Medicine Wheel.
This initiation includes the transmission of the nine rites of the Munay Ki, the loving legacy of the Inca Shaman of Peru, handed down for generations. In their language of the Quechua, Munay means supreme love and Ki refers to the life force or Chi. Together these words mean Be as thou art, the you that you were meant to be.
The Andean prophesies speak of this time as an opportunity for the unprecedented change and a quantum leap in human evolution. The initiations and teachings in this workshop series invite you to step in-to realize your purpose for being here at this crucial moment to become a co-creator and dream a new world into being.
Course description:
Through personal awareness and intuitive development exercises, journeying, ritual, and fire ceremony we will step out of the ordinary laws of space and time to dance int the mystery of creation and reside in our transcendent nature.
Session 1- The South: The Hero’s Journey. As we shed the limiting stories of our past, we transform our wounds into sources of wisdom and compassion.
Session 2-The West: The Path of the Luminous Warrior. Stepping beyond fear and violence, we move forward with the certainty to live in peace with the highest integrity.
Session 3-The North: The Way of the Seer. Transforming fate into destiny, we learn to walk softly on the earth, opening the heart and seeing with clarity of vision.
Session 4-The East: The Way of the Sage. We realize our roles as co-creators. As spirit flows through us, we begin to dream a new world into being.

Roberta Jones, M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W., is a full mesa carrier and a graduate of The Four Winds Healing the Light Body School. Her practice, Reclaiming Self, incorporates her twenty-eight years of experience as a psychotherapist with her shamanic training in the traditions of the Peruvian Andes and the Amazon jungle. Roberta has studied numerous spiritual paths and healing modalities over her lifetime, which she blends adeptly into the teachings and practices she offers.
